From GED to MBA — and Everything in Between

Makeda’s story is a blueprint for resilience and results. She earned her GED at sixteen, experienced periods of homelessness, and still went on to complete her MBA in Organizational Management and earn a graduate certificate in Data Science — proving that success doesn’t follow a straight line, but a series of decisive actions.

Before she was a sales executive, she was a teacher who learned how to turn complex ideas into simple systems people could actually use. That same gift now fuels her work helping organizations and individuals create clarity through action.

She didn’t wait to feel qualified before she left teaching and pivoted into scientific, then tech sales. She didn’t even know what SaaS was when she started. Five months later, she closed her first enterprise deal. Four years later, she had generated $1M in commissions and nearly $10M in revenue.

While building that career, she and her husband built a 10-acre homestead in rural Tennessee — mortgage-free — while working full-time and homeschooling two young children. Her story is proof that action comes before confidence — and that results come from movement, not waiting.
